Harkness Memorial Wedding in Waterford, Connecticut

July 23, 2022

Bethany and Mike had a clear vision for their Harkness Memorial Wedding: modern elegance. The luxurious grounds and mansion at Harkness Memorial in Waterford, Connecticut set the tone for old world elegance, while Bethany’s eye for fashion and style gave it its modern charm. In tones of deep blue and classic black, with peonies and roses in pink and white, her classic, contemporary take on Eolia Mansion will never go out of style.

Their day was truly a sight to behold. The combination of old world elegance and modern charm made for a truly stunning celebration that was uniquely theirs.

The Harkness Memorial mansion and its lush, manicured grounds provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding day. The historic mansion exuded classic elegance, while the sprawling gardens and scenic views of Long Island Sound added a touch of natural beauty to the occasion.

But it was Bethany’s eye for fashion and style that truly made this wedding one-of-a-kind. Her choice of deep blue and classic black for the wedding party’s attire was a bold and sophisticated statement, perfectly complemented by the soft pink and white hues of the floral arrangements.

As a wedding photographer, I’m always inspired by couples who have a clear vision for their special day. Bethany and Mike’s modern, elegant style was evident in every detail, from the sleek, contemporary invitations to the stylish, minimalist table settings.

But even more inspiring was the love and joy that radiated from the couple and their guests throughout the day. From the heartfelt ceremony to the lively reception, it was clear that this was a celebration of two people who were meant to be together.

As the sun began to set over the Harkness Memorial grounds, I captured some of my favorite shots of the day, including a stunning portrait of Bethany and Mike in front of the mansion’s iconic columns. The golden hour light was the perfect complement to their modern elegance, creating a romantic and timeless feel that will surely be cherished for years to come.

In the end, Bethany and Mike’s Harkness Memorial Wedding was a testament to the power of love, style, and tradition. It was an honor to be a part of their special day, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness together.
