Tudor Place Wedding in Washington, D.C.

March 25, 2020

This Tudor Place wedding has everything you’re looking for. In fact, elegant, clean, natural, and romantic are some of the words my couples use to describe their weddings. And it just so happens to work out because that is exactly how I’d describe my photography style. I appreciate detail, design, color, art, and sophistication. I draw inspiration from my life experiences that encompass everything from architecture, art history, travel, and psychology. Each of these elements informs my approach to what I do and how I seek balance, posing, softness, connection, and emotion in my work. So, when given the opportunity to shoot at the Film Theory Editorial last fall as part of the Film Theory Workshop, I knew I was among kindred spirits.

The Vision

Styled and hosted by Rudney Novaes Photography, Natalie Jayne Photography, and Claire Duran Weddings and Events, I knew I was in for a treat down in Washington, D.C. at the Tudor Place and Gardens. I think that you too will agree- this is what wedding dreams are made of. And that’s exactly what it felt like to be there. Floating through a dream. These pictures represent that ethereal quality, soft and classic, romantic and artful. Not to mention the gravel driveways, historic home, lush gardens, impeccable style, floating brides in flowy dresses, and the glowing light from the setting sun.

The Inspiration

It was a photographer’s dream to be a part of this Tudor Place Wedding shoot and one I will draw from often as inspiration to help give life to my brides’ dreams, plan for their weddings, and show them what we are capable of as a team of vendors to bring your unique vision to life.

Special thanks and credit to the entire vendor team that made this vision a reality below.
