This timeless Bethesda Terrace wedding bridal session in New York City is simple yet dreamy with a luxe feel. The vision here is – “Idyllic luxury, a dream-like state.” A garden wedding in the middle of New York City that includes a variety of flowers and their meanings. It is, at its essence, an homage to the story behind the flowers we choose on our wedding days. I also wanted this to feel like a dream. Brides think about their day for so long, they’ve imagined it so many ways that when it comes it feels like a dream, almost like it already happened, and so when it does, you float.
The shoot captures the essence of a garden wedding in the heart of New York City, showcasing the beauty of nature and its ability to transport us to a dream-like state. Our use of soft and dreamy lighting, combined with the natural beauty of the location, creates a sense of ethereal enchantment that perfectly captures the bride’s sense of wonder and awe on the precipice of change.
In a city that can feel like a concrete jungle, this shoot posits that femininity can not only be soft but strong. Isobel’s fair skin and dreamy gaze invite us into her world of beauty and gentleness, however the strength in her frame and the structure in the gown remind us that there is strength in this femininity.
