This Keeler Tavern wedding is pure visual inspiration. Nestled in the picturesque town of Ridgefield, Connecticut, Keeler Tavern stands as a breathtaking backdrop for this unforgettable wedding. With its rich history, elegant ambiance, and charming surroundings, Keeler Tavern offers couples the perfect elevated garden setting for their special day.
“We wanted classic and elegant, editorial imagery that didn’t feel posed or generic,” says Amanda, bride, of her Keeler Tavern Wedding in June. From the start, her vision embraced modern elegance, drawing inspiration from high-fashion editorials, curating a day of poised sophistication and unguarded emotions, blending age-old charm with contemporary luxury, reflecting the bride’s embodiment of classic beauty with a modern twist.
Amanda and Jason played to the historical charm, romantic atmosphere, and idyllic surroundings and paired them effortlessly with their graceful style. Their vision was a modern elegance with plenty of fine art touches with a casual sensibility. From Amanda’s Marchesa gown and Jason’s custom tuxedo, these two focused on each other and their loved ones all day long with plenty of portrait time to both soak in the day and create beauty together.
When planning your wedding, look no further for your modern romantic inspiration. Through seamlessly blending traditional and modern elements, you can ensure that your wedding resonates both timeless charm and contemporary elegance.
The Preparations
Amanda got ready in her personally renovated farmhouse in Connecticut. It was the perfect setting for her organic, chic style. The craftsman build of their new home together set the stage for New England elegance.
The Gown
Amanda’s Marchesa gown was effortlessly beautiful with hand sewn floral applique and lace. The plunging sweetheart neckline and soft flowing tulle had just the right amount of shape. Amanda made a high fashion statement with her couture piece.
The Ceremony
Amanda and Jason planned the perfect getaway moment in Jason’s Porsche after their classic ceremony at their childhood church. It was the perfect mix of traditional and modern.
A Garden Inspired Wedding Party
Amanda knew she didn’t want matching, traditional bridesmaids dresses for her bridal party. She opted for floral gowns in different patterns and shapes for her girls. We went for more casual posing and a relaxed elegance as they spent time with their closest friends.
Wedding Portraits at Baxter Preserve
Amanda envisioned open fields and sun drenched trees for her portraits with her new husband. It’s an editorial take on equestrian VOGUE. Surrounded by rolling hills and the open landscape of the Connecticut country, these portraits feel natural and strong without being overly posed.
An Al Fresco Dinner Reception
There is nothing quite like an open-air hosted dinner to celebrate your wedding like at Keeler Tavern. The courtyard, the pool, the fountain, all set against the glowing sun are summer perfection.
