Fine Art Portrait Series: A Very City Christmas by New York City Photographer, Jennifer Conti

As a New York City Photographer, being in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the greatest city on Earth is both exhilarating and romantic at the same time. I had a vision for a modern Christmas in the city. Busy couples and families, with places to go, and lots of love between them getting there. Lots of black and white, movement, and motion. With this concept, we hustled around Manhattan, mid afternoon, capturing romantic vignettes among the busy streets. What we accomplished was raw, honest, emotive imagery that wraps up exactly how it feels in the city at Christmas with the one you love.

I partnered with Linda Ha Events to execute the vision of this session. She created a concept board and fashion pulls with direct links for my clients. Her vision was absolute perfection and paired flawlessly with my idea. The posing was authentic and natural and with thirty minutes together, we mirrored the business I wanted out of these images. The couples were confident and comfortable with the camera as the prep leading up to the sessions allowed them the ability to relax into our time together with ease. I always love to provide tips and advice before we even meet, so that you arrive to your session excited and ready to execute.

I’d love for you to join me in my next series. Perhaps a mid-winter snow, or something architectural in the spring. For the latest, and to be the first to know, sign up for my newsletter here.
