Eolia Mansion at Harkness Memorial is on the water. It is a summer estate on a huge piece of land on the Connecticut seashore. It was gifted to the state in 1950. It is a place where on a summer evening you find picnickers, lovers, families, old friends, children, and dogs frolicking about, playing, running, walking, strolling, gazing through the gardens, and breathing in the salt air. It is a place to fly a kite, to dream, and to soak in summer as if it will never end.
Stephanie & George knew they wanted to have their engagement pictures by the water, to which they are deeply connected, and knew that November was getting late. But the universe listened, as it always is, and gave them a 60 degree day for their gorgeous session. It almost, just almost, felt like summer, and in a way no less powerful captured their joy in their happy place, by the sea.
