New England Family Photographer Session | The Zinno Family | Winvian Farm | Morris, Connecticut
When you start a family, you know you’re going to be happy, that you’re going to be loved. You get it: happiness, love, and a sweet baby to make you smile. And then suddenly like a force, in a fraction of a second’s time, life is wonderful in a way you can’t describe. And you never understood, how life could be this good. That with everything you’ve got, you’d give everything you’ve got. That nothing else mattered before and the only thing that matters is now.
That’s the feeling I get when I look at these photographs- the Zinno Family, connected in the deep way only families can. The way they look at that little boy, their little one, the words they speak not with their mouths but with their hands, their touch, their eyes, the way they hold him and he giggles, when he’s cold and dad holds his hands, when he’s crying and mom pulls him in tight. How could we be so lucky? How could we be so brave? How could we be so loved?
The Zinno Family and I spent a snowy Sunday December morning together at Winvian Farm in Morris, Connecticut, a 113 acre farm nestled in the Litchfield County hills, just weeks before Christmas. Warming up by the fire before heading out, and popping back in when it got cold, exploring the beautiful grounds, and taking in all that is winter. If you know me, you know I LOVE winter, and this session reminded me of all the reasons. The cold, crisp air, the quietness the snow creates, the bright light, the low sun- it’s magic. And nothing more magic than capturing these moments of connection for the Zinnos. I loved shooting your family, guys. Thank you for having me along during this special season of your life. Lots of love!
