When I do engagement sessions, I like to think of them as date nights, doing something that the two of you love- picnic, wine, coffee, cozy at home, or all dressed up and out on the town. They should represent who you are and what you are all about. It’s important to me that your pictures are more than just pretty, it matters that they mean something, that you can feel your connection in them, whether that be fast and furious, soft and romantic, or deep and loving, you should look at your pictures and be reminded of all the reasons you love this person, all the things about them that keep you coming back for more. So, when Christina and Anthony came to me to book their wedding knowing right away where they wanted to do their engagement session, I was all in. Grab a blanket, grab some wine, and let’s go to the place that makes you feel most together.
It ended up being a gorgeous night, the glowiest sunset gave for the most romantic light, that turned into the most beautiful evening. When we were done, getting back into our cars, we looked back at the vineyard and said, “That was a lot of fun.” These pictures capture that- a sweet night, a warm night, wrapped up in a couple in love on the brink of a big great life together, a commitment and a dare, to have and to hold, through the good through the bad- one where I am not afraid to say- you will be my person and I will not let you go.
Congratulations to Christina and Anthony, it’s going to be a great year full of planning and dreaming, hoping and wishing, and I can’t wait to be there to watch it all come true for you on your August wedding day! Thanks as always for trusting me with your most precious memories, friends. Cheers!
